    Chinmaya English Primary School celebrated “Kargil Vijay Diwas” to pay tribute to the Kargil Martyrs who sacrificed their life while safeguarding the country. Students of Standard VI,VII and IX brought out significance of the day through patriotic songs and dance. The performance filled the atmosphere with patriotism and emotion. The programme came to an end by remembering the sacrifices of Kargil heroes. The Principal in her concluding remarks appreciated. The initiatives and efforts of the in-charge teachers and students.

    Aaradhana Day

    In remembrance of the founder of our Chinmaya Mission, Pujya Gurudev and his remarkable service to the society, the school, every year, on 3rd August observes “Maha Samadhi Day or Aradhana day”. The school take initiative to perform seva through collecting “Ek muthi Chawal” from teachers and students of all the classes (I to X). Many contribute even channa dal, toor dal, Jaggery and fruits. The collected groceries are later distributed to the orphanages. This year it was donated to JEEVAN SANDHYA OLD AGE HOME. During assembly the students of Std VII explained the importance of the day by narrating a few memorable incidents from Swami Chinmayanandaji’s life.

    Vana Mahotsava Celebration

    “Think Green and live Green” Vana Mahotsav means “Tree Festival”. This planting festival is observed annually over a period of week starting from 1st July to 7th July. Van Mahotsav was started in 1950 by Dr.K.M.Munshi, Union Minister for Agriculture. The programme was started with informative speech on the importance of safeguard trees and forest. Children of Pre-Primary and Primary gave awareness speech on Van Mahotsav. The Standard 3 students creatively presented a thought-provoking skit on the importance of saving trees.There was an activity for the students to plant a sapling using mud, water and sprouts. The students watered the saplings. The goal is to make a connection between the students and the trees through a process of experience and creation. At the end of the programme saplings were gifted to school. Mrs. Bhuvaneshwari Navada gave some inspiring words about Van Mahotsav. The programme was ended with Shanti Mantra.
